Organically grown Rooibos Teas are
grown in the Cederburg Mountains in
the Western Cape of South Africa
near Cape Town. The name
Rooibos means red bush in the
Afrikaans language.

Historically Rooibos has been
enjoyed in South Africa for its
pleasing taste and healthful
properties. It is free from
caffeine and contain very little
tannin. High in anti-oxidants,
recent studies show it contains
anti-allergic properties from
quercitin, a flavoid compound.
Rooibos teas has been used to ease
nausea and stomach aches. Drinking a
cup of it before bed has helped me
with acid reflux. For many
years South Africans have been using
this wonderful tea to even help
babies who are suffering with colic.
Because Rooibos is not a stimulant
it is appropriate for all.

This lovely hand thrown mug is made
of terra cotta clay and was created
especially
for Cassiopeia's Corner by our
artist Suzanne. Combined with
a packet or two of our different
teas and it is a lovely gift for
someone you love.
Need something to cuddle up with?
From time to time I will post things
in
the Quilts and Snuggly Things for
you to collect. The quilt you
see here was hand made from high
quality flannel. This
wonderful snuggly rag quilt is
77X91.
You will also find in the section
for Quilts and Snuggly things a
selection of used books. This
along with a blanket or tea is a
wonderful gift for someone
recovering.
Also from time to time there will be
selections of items for the new born
baby or perhaps even for a wedding
or anniversary. It is our hope
to expand this section as time
allows.
